Balancing Career and Family with Confidence
Parenthood changes everything, but it doesn’t mean you have to choose between thriving at work and being present at home.
Not ready to book a consultation, but want more information? Fill out my Contact Me form and I’ll reach out to you.
As working parents, we are trying to do the impossible.
Go after the career we’ve spent years working toward.
Raise good humans.
And somewhere in between, find time for ourselves, our partners, and our friends.
Restore your sense of who you are, what you want, and where you want to go in life.
I’d love to help you:
Get clear on what you actually want from your career and your family life
Quit doing things you don’t want to do instead of telling yourself, “I should want to do this.”
Make life-changing decisions with clarity, knowing you’re getting closer to your goals
Rebuild confidence in yourself so you can trust your own definition of success and stop looking to other people to tell you what you should be doing
Find out what’s possible for you when you focus your energy on your goals and passions instead of fighting mom guilt
This is the kind of work we can do together inside my 1:1 coaching program.

Jess helped me make a successful career pivot.
“I started working with Jess when going through a career pivot. I had been working long hours at a demanding job and trying to figure out what balance and happiness looked like for me as a mom and a career-driven woman. I always had and will always be someone who wants to succeed in their career, but something was missing.
I immediately gravitated towards Jess’ style of coaching. She helped me find my compass by rediscovering my values, shaking off the cobwebs of what I needed vs. what everyone else needed, and grounded me in understanding the unrealistic pressures on myself that were blockers.
Jess not only helped me successfully make a career pivot, but she also continues to be my coach, helping me make sure my actions continually align with my goals and passions, whether that’s at work or at home.”

Jess helped me reframe my return to work.
“I learned to reframe some of the guilt and shame surrounding the return to work as a new parent.
I had this nagging feeling like I wasn’t doing enough as a parent, employee, partner, or coworker. Jess helped me step outside myself and realize that I am enough and doing my best each day. She helped me build confidence in myself and let go of my own limiting beliefs about my new role as a working mom. I feel better equipped to handle the the challenges of working full-time and enjoy the journey.
I have become better organized as both a parent and employee. I better strategize and plan ahead which allows me to stay present in the role that I am currently in. I have also found that I am better at setting boundaries for myself in my professional and personal lives. Jess helped to provide simple yet profound tools that I am able to utilize each day.”

We work together for ten sessions spread over six months. We meet every 2-3 weeks based on your availability. In between our sessions, you have access to text and email support between our calls.
In our first call, we dive deep into your goals. In each follow-up call, we discuss the mindsets and behaviors that influence the outcomes and goals you aim to achieve. We end each call with a commitment or experiment designed to challenge you out of your comfort zone. Along the way, I’ll be there to guide reflection, point out blind spots, share leadership frameworks, and hold accountability.

Jess asked me powerful questions at just the right moments
“Jess and I met at a critical point in my career, during a challenging transition. Our time together was a welcomed forcing mechanism to reflect on where I was currently at, align my efforts (namely, mindset) to where I want to be in the future — and find some self-compassion in the process.
She pushed me to reframe things differently, give myself credit where credit was due, and keep in line of sight the greater end game.
Jess asked me powerful questions at just the right moments, which led to clarity and encouragement I wouldn’t have otherwise had access to.”

I’m now able to make decisions driven by my values, rather than my emotions
“Conversations with Jess are always empowering. The focus is on your goals and how to use your innate abilities and skills to achieve those goals.
I think that even smart, successful people need people like Jess to help clarify their intentions and take the next step.
Working with Jess has introduced a new clarity for evaluating situations. I’m now able to step back and make decisions driven by my values, rather than by whatever emotional state new problems find me in.”

I know how overwhelming it can be because I’ve been there.
After having my first son, I resented my career for taking me away from my child and preventing me from being the best mom I could be. So I quit and became a stay-at-home mom.
Turns out, being a full-time stay-at-home mom wasn’t what I wanted, either. As a lifelong overachiever, I struggled with no longer contributing a salary to my family and spending all my time with an infant. Without that sense of accomplishment, I found myself in an identity crisis.
Eventually, I learned to acknowledge that this major life transition of having a child had changed the core of who I was. The things that used to make me feel fulfilled, valued, and like “me,” had changed. Through deep reflection, I was able to reconnect with who I had become and appreciate this new identity. I felt like myself again and trusted myself to know what I wanted.
It is 100% normal to feel like you’ve lost a part of your identity after becoming a parent, whether you gave birth to your child or not. Getting back in touch with who you are and what you want can be an overwhelming experience, and you don’t have to do it on your own.
